Biomasseheizkraftwerk Marchtrenk

Biomasseheizkraftwerk Marchtrenk

LINZ GAS/WÄRME GmbH has decades of experience in the district heating sector. As early as 1995, they established the first biomass heating plant in Grein, and now they operate 7 large biomass heating plants. The Marchtrenk heating plant is fired by two biomass boilers with a total capacity of 4 megawatts. A gas boiler serves as a backup. A buffer tank with a capacity of 80,000 liters evens out daily peaks and provides additional supply security. The flue gas cleaning is carried out by a centrifugal separator (multicyclone) for coarse dust separation for each biomass boiler and a common electrostatic precipitator for fine dust separation. In addition to numerous municipal facilities such as the town hall, schools, and kindergarten, commercial enterprises and approximately 700 apartments in Marchtrenk are supplied with district heating.
