Stock Exchange” and the “Palais Hansen – Hotel Kempinski,” was built in 1872 by one of the great architects of the Ringstrasse, “City Master Builder Wilhelm Fraenkel,” in the style of Theophil Hansen and Italian Neorenaissance. In the 1990s, it underwent extensive renovation by Erste Bank, and the attic was expanded into a two-story space. The property was acquired in 2015 by “Palais Schottenring Immobilien GmbH” and is set to undergo renovation and refurbishment after the current usage by Erste Bank ends in July 2016. By July 2018, a total of 40 luxury apartments will be created, including four penthouses on the roof, which will be developed as single-story units.
